With road accidents on the increase, it’s no surprise that the notorious Mill Road in Cambridge is seeing the same increase. As a narrow road and with the nature of the shopping community the road simply can’t cope with the high number of users which results in serious road traffic accidents involving pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. In a bid to raise awareness of this accident hotspot Cambridgeshire County Council turned to Redback Design to create an advertising campaign promoting safe and simply ways to avoid accidents. Adopting an illustrative route, Redback designed a poster campaign themed as a spot the difference concept. The posters were published on bus shelters in Mill Road and have contributed to raising awareness of potential road accidents.
